Bio

My name is Matt Ripley and I teach 6th grade math here at CDMS. I am a 2003 graduate of Chuckey-Doak High School where I played football and soccer. I graduated from Tusculum College in 2009 with my bachelors degree in Mass Media. I worked for WGRV, WJHL, had my own television show and was an extra in different movies in Atlanta, GA. I received my Masters degree in Teaching in 2014 and began my teaching career. I've been a football coach for 15 seasons at CDHS and CDMS as well as the head baseball coach at CDMS for 6 seasons. In 2021 I was fortunate to serve as the head coach of the CDHS football team. My wife is Mrs. Ripley who teaching 6th grade E/LA here and we have a daughter at CDHS. In 2023 we welcomed our son and I earned my doctorate in administrative leadership. I have been a level 5 teacher several years and continue to learn and grow in my craft.
